High School Football America has captured over 45 hours of video during 2010 Pius X High School Football season in Roseto, Pennsylvania. We began shooting video on August 16th during Camp Royal, when the team spent the first week on-campus for two-a-days.
Throughout the season we are chronicling the Royals, who are playing their first season under head coach Phil Stambaugh, who led the school to one of its two PIAA Class A state semifinal appearances. After graduating from Pius X, Stambaugh starred at Lehigh University before going on to the NFL and NFL Europe.
Below is a video gallery that will aggregate all of the videos from the 2010 season. It is presented from newest to oldest.
This is Part 2 of our three-part series on the Pius X Royals season opener against Pottstown.
With the support of first year head coach Phil Stamaugh, High School Football America founder/editor-in-chief Jeff Fisher has been able to captured 45-hours of footage of the Royals during the 2010 season. Included in that footage is an all-access look inside the first game of the season against Pottstown.
Stambaugh wore a microphone from the time he arrived at Amelio Scott Alumni Stadium at 7:15 a.m. on September 4th until the end of the game. I've broken the day into three parts to give fans an inside look at how Stambaugh's first game as a head coach unfolded.
The Royals lost their opener to the Class AAA Trojans.
In the latest episode of the 2010 Pius X High School Football Story from High School Football America, we take you into the heart of Game Day.

The Royals lost their opener to the Class AAA Trojans, who have lost six straight since their 27-20 victory.
The Royals won their second straight game beating Bucktail 57-14 on October 2, 2010.
After a slow first quarter, first year head coach Phil Stambaugh rallied the troops.
You can listen to his coaching from the sidelines in this video. It was the Royals first league game in nearly a decade after playing as an independent since 1999. This year the Royals joined the All-American Conference.
14-year old quarterback AJ Long (#3) continued to improve in this game. He threw four touchdowns in the victory of Bucktail.
Led by 14-year old freshman quarterback AJ Long, the Royals collected their first win of the 2010 season with a 62-36 win over arch-rival Marian Catholic. Long threw three touchdowns and ran for two others in the victory.

The best way to describe the Royals is they are YOUNG.
The Royals only return four starters on both sides of the ball. In all, there's only 10 returning lettermen from last year's 9-3 team that finished runner-up in District 11's Single-A classification. 13 seniors were lost to graduation, including four-year starter at quarterback Anthony Casciano, who is Stambaugh's nephew.
Stambaugh, who threw for nearly 5,600 yards and 52 touchdowns in his three years as quarterback at Pius, says freshman A.J. Long stands to follow in Casciano's footsteps as a four year starter at QB.
